Delray Awning’s History
Harold J. Day (Jack) took ownership of Delray Awning in 1959, when it was located at 10 E. Atlantic Ave, across from the Elementary School, now known as Historical Old School Square.
After US 1 was split into the North and South bound highway, as we know it today, he moved the business location to family owned property at 656 SE 5th Avenue.
With a growing business, more room was needed, and the company built a new shop and moved to 80 N. Congress Ave, where after 35+ years, it is still located today, now owned by his two sons, keeping the family craft going strong one generation at a time.
